Functional kitchens that also look good, at a price people can afford - that's what Certified Kitchen Designer Peter Baylis offers his clients.

Kitchens by Vogue can be found from Russell to Lake Tekapo, and customers keep coming back, despite our policy not to advertise in newspapers. I believe it's because we are the best at what we do.

Peter began work as a joiner in 1976, completed his apprenticeship, gaining Trade Certificate and Advanced Trade Certificate. He bought the company in 1983 and has been a Certified Kitchen Designer since 1992.

Factory My philosophy is to work on the planning first. It is important to get the work triangle and flow patterns right, as a kitchen must be functional. Then I work on the design - lighting, open shelving, colours, textures and different finishes - because looks are very important too. We try to provide a client with a kitchen to suit their budget.

Everything is built on site at Vogue's New Plymouth workshop. Peter's key role is in design and sales, and he is supported by five qualified tradesmen - production manager Rod Roebuck, factory foreman Steve Toss and joiners Tony Hardy, Steve Garnett and Carl Lewis.

We deliver much more than a basic plan, we help our clients through the whole process from design to installation.
